The speaker is fully waterproof and works on the 2.4GHz band frequency. The 3.5mm audio input makes it a snap to connect to other devices such as an iPod, CD/MP3 plauer or notebook among others. The speaker requires half a dozen AAA batteries while the transmitter takes half that amount. There is no concrete result for the battery life, but the Waterproof Wireless Speaker retails for $40.
